Spoken Word Poetry

Until Further Notice....

. ...This site is closed. Apparently my views on poetry being spoken not just read appeals to far too few.

"Spoken word poetry is the art of performance poetry. I tell people it involves creating poetry that doesn't just want to sit on paper, that something about it demands it be heard out loud or witnessed in person." - Sarah Kay

It's hard to get responses for anything that isn't sensational. I'm sorry I haven't kept up with this site. These days, I write poetry very infrequently and have never been keen on having people hear what my voice sounds like, as I think I sound like a twangy, nasal Howdy Doody who tends to get mistaken for a man on the phone even though I have all the female parts.

I believe you (the female parts>) The face, no matter what you may think isn't a bloke's either.
